International medical conferences are in a universe all of their own. In this universe, speakers and attendees come from different countries with their own cultures and consequently their own habits in terms of behaviour and public speaking. However, most speakers set aside, at least partially, their cultural identity to embrace the international medical conference style.
This workshop brings its contribution to the research and practice of medical presentations in our country.
To do that, we invite medical students to practise the art of public speaking in a formal environment, by presenting medical topics in English. The focus will be on the use of medical English, nowadays the international language of medical communication. A separate poster session will be held in French, German, and Romanian language.
